How does this work?
Print sharpness comes down to how many dots (pixels) land in each inch of the finished print, called DPI. We take your photo's pixel size and divide it by the size you're ordering to get the real DPI at that size.
Big pieces like photo boards and backdrops are viewed from a few feet back, so they do not need the same 300 DPI as a small photo held in your hand. Around 100 to 150 DPI looks great on a large board. Floor graphics are viewed from standing height, so they can go lower still. Below the safe range, prints start to look soft or blurry.
We print your photo exactly as you send it. We cannot add resolution to a photo, so if it is too small for the size you want, the fix is a higher resolution photo or a smaller size. The preview also shows how your photo fits the shape you ordered.
